He completed the book in 1965, four years before his 100th birthday. Yes, I consider myself a Christian, however, I do not think that sex is a bad thing especially between two people that love each other. Even though I am familiar with all the characters from past books, there were way too many of the involved in this storyline. Wonderful insights into the way the Word works its way into our memories, thoughts, feelings and decision making abilities. The book is almost worth it just to read 'A Study in Emerald, which is a fantastic mix of genres story, including Sherlock Holmes, Cthulhu Mythos, Dracula, and Frankenstein (and probably a few more I missed). Jackie, along with her partner Tiny, are on the case as a favor to Vincent's cousin, Bastien.
